Volunteer
The work our organization accomplishes every year would be impossible without the generous help of our volunteers and donors. The Greenville Humane Society has many ways that you can help the animals.

Adoption Area
Give the shelter 2-3 hours of your time a week to help find animals a loving home. Activities include puppy bathing, walking dogs, and helping customers. Please note that volunteers must be at least 13 years old.
Special Events
Volunteers are needed for different events throughout the year such as exhibition shows, dog washes, open houses and special fundraisers. Please note that volunteers must be at least 13 years old.
Pet Therapy
We currently have a great need for pet therapy volunteers to take puppies to visit local nursing home residents, hospital patients and others who suffer adversities or disabilities. Please note that volunteers must be at least 13 years old.
Volunteer of the Month
Tracy Weaver
Tracy started volunteering with the Greenville Humane Society in February of 2009. I am not sure if you have seen the people waiting in line on Tuesday evenings for the vaccine clinic, but it can get overwhelming pretty quickly. Tracy is there helping the staff make sure that the people get their paperwork all in order so that they are ready for when it is their time to see the vet. This is no small feat because as the lines grow longer and the temperature goes up, people’s patience seems to go down. Because of her dedication and help, the customer’s visit goes as smoothly and quickly as possible. Thanks Tracy for being brave enough to tackle such a challenging role here at the Greenville Humane Society Clinic!
