The Greenville Humane Society is independent from any national animal welfare or humane organization. This is important to know when determining who will receive your financial contributions. Although national organizations, such as The Humane Society of the United States and the American Humane Association, are also non-profit groups, their focus is generally on national trends and concerns, whereas our focus is on local ones. We do not receive any financial assistance from these groups. If you wish to support your local humane society, your contribution must come directly to us.

Year of Care
The Year of Care sponsorship is an excellent volunteer program for businesses, churches, civic groups, or other organizations. This program offers a comprehensive method for raising donations from your organization, and with these raised funds an organization is able to sponsor a crate for a year (or shorter time period, if needed) and cover the costs for the total care of the pets who call that crate home until they are adopted. Sponsors are encouraged to donate their time playing with or walking the pet, and to send out emails to friends and family who are interested in adopting a pet, in hopes of finding a good home for the pets in their sponsored crate.
