The Greenville Humane Society is one of the largest no-kill facilities in the Southeast. We work in partnership with our community to create an environment where all animals are treated with compassion and respect.

Medical Center – Under Construction
We’re growing! In September, we broke ground for the new the Medical Center and expect it to be completed in June of 2017. Our current clinic is still open during construction so we can continue to serve the community.
We are proud to say that we are a leader in combatting pet overpopulation. Currently, our clinic serves more than 12,400 pets annually, performing an average of 50 surgeries per day, and up to 114 in one day—all with only 33 animal holding cages. The new Medical Center will include three times more dog and cat kennels for public animals enabling our clinic team to perform even more spay/neuter surgeries and keep up with the public’s demand for appointments.
Our Vaccine Clinic is playing a critical role in the health of Greenville’s pets. Annually, the clinic vaccinates 24,000 animals (from public and shelter) using only ONE exam room and a small waiting room. The Medical Center’s two additional exam rooms and enlarged lobby will increase the number of animals we can vaccinate, cut the wait time for each patient, provide privacy for people and their animals, and reduce uncomfortable interactions between pets due to congestion.
