New Medical Center

The Greenville Humane Society opened its doors here on Airport Road in 2011. We knew the public needed high quality, affordable services but we never anticipated this much demand and this much growth in such a short time. We have seen a 47% increase in the number of spay/neuter surgeries we have performed since 2011. Last year, over 6,400 animals were adopted into loving homes from the Greenville Humane Society. In fact, we have grown to be the second largest No Kill shelter in the southeast behind Atlanta. We gave over 50,000 vaccines last year!

Our new Medical Center doubles our animal holding capacity. We were literally out of space and could not do anymore to help this community of pet lovers without this critical expansion. Now we will be able to perform more spay neuter surgeries, administer more vaccines, and accept more animals for adoption—many that were slated to be euthanized due to lack of space at our 35 partner shelters. We raised $3.3 Million dollars—the FULL amount needed to build the Medical Center without using a single taxpayer dollar. We cannot wait to see the impact our new Medical Center will have in our community. Thank you to all of our supporters who helped to make this dream a reality.
