PassivHaus: designed by Fuller Consulting Engineers

Fuller Consulting Engineers designed the PassivHaus to be modeled after the dog-trot cabin style found in Appalachia, this dog house features two living areas: an enclosed area for winter and a shady porch for summer. The enclosed house has an operable window and a roof that lifts for easy cleaning. Click here to view larger image.

Volunteer Orientation - 3rd Monday Each Month

Interested in volunteering for the Greenville Humane Society? We conduct an orientation for new volunteers at 6:00pm every 3rd Monday of each month.

The location for these orientations will be in the Adoptions Lobby at our new facility at 305 Airport Road. All volunteers must go through orientation before they can start volunteer work at the Greenville Humane Society. Your volunteer schedule will be based on availability of the time slots you prefer (usually a two-hour time period). Once you have received your volunteer time slot, it will remain yours for as long as you are here unless you need to change it.

Volunteer Age Requirements:

If you are interested in pet therapy, you must be at least 18 and be able to volunteer the same day and time each week (Monday - Friday); children are allowed to participate in pet therapy work if accompanied by parent or legal guardian. Pet foster parents and adult dog walkers must also be at least 18. To volunteer in the puppy/kitten room you must be at least age 13. No one under the age of 13 is permitted to volunteer at the Greenville Humane Society.
