Services
Besides feeding, housing and providing medical care for the tens of thousands of unwanted animals in the Greenville community, we also provide the following services:
Adoption
Placement of healthy animals with responsible and caring individuals is one of the Greenville Humane Society’s most important goals. Each prospective owner is required to sign an adoption contract promising to provide proper care and treatment of the pet being adopted. On average, the Greenville Humane Society finds homes for nearly 400 animals per month. That’s a lot of success stories! Click here for details.
Spay/Neuter Clinic
The Spay/Neuter Clinic offers low-priced surgeries to help Greenville residents help control the pet population. Do your part! Have your pet spayed or neutered today! Click here for details.
Grooming
Greenville Humane Society is excited to announce the opening of their Charm School Grooming Salon.
Baths to full groom services are available. Click here for details.

Admissions
Greenville now has a new option for people who can no longer care for their pets as we will now be accepting owner surrender pets to place on our adoption floor. The animal must be owned and not a stray, have good temperament and test negative for heartworms in dogs 6 months and older and test negative for feline leukemia in kittens and cats . Although there is no fee for relinquishing your pet, it is very costly for the medical cost and care of over 120 animals that live daily in the care of the Greenville Humane Society. Donations are deeply appreciated. Click here for details.
Vaccination Clinics
The Greenville Humane Society hosts several low-cost vaccination clinics for any pet throughout the year. Vaccination clinics are held Monday-Thursday 9:00am - 12:00 Noon and on Tuesday night from 5:30PM - 7:00PM. For more information click here.
Foster Program
Dogs and cats with minor, temporary health issues who might otherwise be euthanized due to lack of space at the shelter are temporarily placed with a foster “parent” until their health is restored and can be put up for adoption. As a foster parent, you are never under any obligation to keep the animal. You may return your foster pet to us at any time, for any reason. You can foster as much or as little as you like. All you need is a spare room (even a bathroom) and some spare time. We provide all supplies and any necessary medications. Click here for details.
Pet Therapy
Our pet therapy program reaches over 10,000 patients in local hospitals and nursing homes each year. Greenville Humane Society volunteers take puppies to retirement centers, rehabilitation facilities and hospitals to share a little love with those who do not have pets of their own.
Volunteer
The work our organization accomplishes every year would be impossible without the generous help of our volunteers and donors. The Greenville Humane Society has many ways that you can help the animals.
Humane Education
Humane Education strives to promote compassion and encourage responsibility in our homes and communities by encouraging kindness and empathy for both humans and animals.
